Albert Einstein said, “Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school.”
You don’t need to be Einstein, though, to understand that the education process adopted by humans is what sets us apart from all other species on our planet.
A successful educator needs to be able to lead but in such a way that their followers can eventually become leaders themselves. If you get satisfaction from seeing others understand and learn, you have the potential to become a great educator – you just need to benefit from some formal training first.
Your course will teach you about ethics, classroom issues, handling difficult situations, educational psychology, teaching techniques, and legal requirements. A key part to your training will be the time you spend in a school or college getting the ‘hands on’ experience that will stand you in good stead when you start work.
When you have completed your education course, you could consider the following job options:
- Teacher
- University or college lecturer
- Instructor
- Staff trainer
- Marketing consultant
- Broadcaster
