Q .

Am I too old to learn?

A .

No, you're never too old to start learning. Our experience shows that, although older students may have forgotten some of what they learnt at school and may be a bit slower at recalling some details, they more than make up for it with increased motivation. In many aspects of your course, you may well find yourself ahead of the younger members of your class. Don't let age stand in your way.

Q .

How old do I have to be enroll?

A .

You have to be at least 17 at the time of enrollment - sorry, no exceptions.

Q .

How long does it take to complete a course?

A .

Each course is different - both in its nominal duration and also in the degree of latitude offered if you choose to take it via online tuition. Check with your Enrollment Officer before signing up.

Q .

A .

Q .

When can I begin my university course?

A .

If you are following a Bachelor's or Master's degree, then most universities will accept students at the beginning of the Fall and Spring Semesters.

Q .

How much does it cost to follow a university course?

A .

Every university has its own fee structure and how much you will be required to pay will depend on a number of factors. Asking is always better than guessing so do enquire. When comparing universities, you need to examine the actual syllabus being taught as one course may be much more relevant to you than another. Obviously if you choose to have online tuition, you can investigate the fees of every university offering the service. This ability to ‘shop around’ outside of your geographical area is one of the reasons why online courses usually work out considerably cheaper.

Q .

What does online tuition involve and what equipment do I need?

A .

The online element of online tuition is just the means used to communicate. It utilizes high-speed broad bandwidth internet connections to allow you to interact both verbally and visually with your lecturer and other members of your class. You just need a standard PC, webcam, microphone (if it doesn't have one built in), and speakers.

Q .

Should I choose online tuition or face-to-face?

A .

There's no intrinsic difference in the lesson material you are taught nor in the standard of teaching. The only real difference is that with online tuition you can be anywhere in the world. This means that you can choose the course that exactly meets your requirements (rather than the one offered by your nearby university) and that in many cases you can opt to follow the course at precisely your own pace.

Q .

If I choose online tuition, how do I know that my university is legitimate?

A .

Sadly there are a few universities that are not there to educate you. If you are in any doubt whatsoever, always check the university's credentials with the US Department of Education.

Q .

Will my tuition fees be reimbursed if I have online tuition?

A .

Definitely. There is no difference in the way online tuition and face-to-face lessons are viewed with respect to reimbursement of costs.

Q .

Am I able to transfer any credits I've earned from following an online course?

A .

In most cases, yes. A typical four-year college or university course will be pleased to accept credits obtained from following a qualifying online course.
